Frequently asked questions
Which candles does the analysis use?
Crypto perpetuals use Binance USDT-M perpetual candles via CoinAPI. Tokenized stocks use the deepest listed market per ticker from BYBIT, OKEX, HYPERLIQUID, BITGETONCHAIN, LBANK or KRAKEN, labelled as tokenized tape. The browser fallback reads venue-direct. Exact venue provenance matters when marking a swing high or low: different venues can print different extremes.
Why disclose the source?
A candle is only meaningful with its venue. Midnight Open labels source tape so research can match the exact market that made the high or low; tokenized tape is not official NYSE or Nasdaq data.
How private can I be?
Users and the operator may stay pseudonymous. We use email OTP for sign-in and x402/USDC for a cardless payment path; we do not request a legal name or perform KYC, and a chosen or wallet-derived display label is stored with the account.
How do payments work?
Stripe processes cards under its own terms. x402/USDC is the cardless alternative where offered. Current plans live on Pricing.
What happens to my journal?
Your journal stays available after a plan ends. Imported trades and wallet connections use public addresses only; no exchange API key is stored.
